El gran principio Symphony of Science

The Big Beginning, es el título del nuevo vídeo de Symphony of Science. Si queréis ver una vez más a Sagan, Hawking y Dawkins cantando las maravillas del Universo, solo tenéis que darle al play.
Como nueva aparición tenemos a Sara Shears , del Centre for Poetry and Science de Liverpool.

La egagrópila de información de Hawking

Esta es mi cita preferida de Stephen Hawking, quizá no sea un consejo muy útil a lo largo de un día cualquiera para una persona cualquiera, pero puede ser más importante que cualquier otra en el caso de ser necesitada...

"Si ustedes se encuentran con alguien de otro planeta, y él extiende su mano izquierda, no se la estrechen; podría estar hecho de antimateria. Los dos desaparecerían en un tremendo destello de luz"

La radiación de Hawking, o lo que yo habría llamado "la mala digestión de información por parte de los agujeros negros", explicada por él mismo.


Los agujeros negros tienen mala digestión, sí, sabemos que si caemos en un agujero negro nos veremos acelerar y desintegrar rápidamente, pero también sabemos que aquel individuo que nos haya empujado al interior no podrá reírse por ver cómo nos deformamos, nos verá petrificados en el horizonte de sucesos para toda la eternidad, quedando nuestra información petrificada con nosotros... en parte, pues también será contenida en el interior del agujero y expulsada como si de una egagrópila cuántica se tratase.

Así que ya lo sabéis, si tenéis alguna vez la mala suerte de toparos con un extraterrestre de antimateria, seguid los protocolos que recomienda el ministerio de sanidad para la gripe, dadle distancia (y algo de marginación, pero que no lo note), y si os veis un día en un agujero negro, recordad que vuestro teléfono móvil no perderá los mensajes... acabareis desintegrados, pero la información no.

¡Nunca sabemos cuando estos consejos pueden ser útiles! Quizá mañana... quiza no.
